Angelo Kouame, collegiate stars make up Gilas pool for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) on Friday announced the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the November window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers.
The pool will be led by Isaac Go, brothers Matt and Mike Nieto, Rey Suerte, and Allyn Bulanadi. The five players were drafted in the Philippine Basketball Association’s (PBA) special draft last year for the men’s national basketball team.

Other college stars such as University of the Philippines’ Juan and Javi Gomez de Liaño, Kobe Paras, Ateneo’s Dave Ildefonso, and De La Salle University’s Justine Baltazar were also included in the lineup.
Ateneo’s foreign student-athlete Angelo Kouame is also part of the pool.
Those who will complete the roster include Will Navarro, Kenmark Cariño, Calvin Oftana, Jaydee Tungcab, and Dwight Ramos.
The men’s basketball team will play in Bahrain late November. —JCB, GMA News
