Lee makes 31 as Magnolia escapes Rain or Shine for 4th straight win

Paul Lee listed 31 points to extend the Magnolia Hotshots’ winning streak to four at the expense of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 70-62, in the PBA Philippine Cup elimination round on Saturday.

Lee saved the day for Magnolia, making the final two shots for the win after having a slim advantage, 66-62, with 1:31 left to play in the game.

The Hotshots had their biggest lead at 20 after a Rome dela Rosa shot opened the second half, 41-21. Magnolia limited the Elasto Painters to just five points in the second quarter.

Lee’s score on Saturday topped his 29-point performance last Thursday against Terrafirma.

On Sunday, Magnolia (5-4) will play NorthPort, while Rain or Shine (4-4) will face Blackwater.
