Kai Sotto's G League Select Team officially named 'Ignite'

The NBA G League has revealed the name of the select team composed of Kai Sotto, Jalen Green, and other top basketball prospects.

In a press release on Thursday, the league announced that the squad will be called "Ignite."

Coached by three-time NBA champion Brian Shaw, the team also includes Daishen Nix, Isaiah Todd, Jonathan Kuminga, and Princepal Singh.

"We think it's a fitting moniker for a group comprised of young players taking the first step of their promising professional careers," said G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Ignite is unaffiliated with any team currently in the G League, which launched a Pathway Program for high school players to get professional experience without playing in college.

The team has started skills development training in Walnut Creek, California. —MGP, GMA News
