It's official: CJ Cansino heading to UP
Less than 24 hours since news broke out that CJ Cansino parted ways with the University of Santo Tomas, it looks like the former captain already made up his mind regarding his new team.
In a tweet Friday afternoon, Cansino posted the raised fist emoji, the emblem of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.
UP head coach Bo Perasol also confirmed the news in a text message to GMA News Online.
One of the first to welcome Cansino is Ricci Rivero.

Former King Maroon Paul Desiderio also welcomed Cansino, saying in a tweet, "Glad to have you bro!
Players from other colleges and universities on Thursday playfully recruited Cansino, with the former Tiger replying to some of their "offers."
Cansino on Friday revealed that he did not want to leave UST but he was kicked off the team.
"Bigyan lang ako ng isang rason para hindi lumipat, maglalaro pa rin ako sa UST. Kaya lang, tinanggal ako eh," the incoming junior said in a statement. —Justin Kenneth Carandang/MGP, GMA News
