Jalen Green looks forward to playing with Kai Sotto, keeps doors open on Gilas stint

Jalen Green is excited to play with fellow Filipino Kai Sotto in the NBA G League.
The two prospects decided to sign with the G League Pathway Program and play for the select team, which will be coached by three-time NBA champion Brian Shaw.
"When he got to the G League, I told him I can't wait to be his teammate," Green said in a media availability on Thursday.
The Filipino-American player said he has a "good relationship" with Sotto and has "talked to him a couple of times" when they were in the Philippines.
"He knows that we're bros off the court," he said. "I think he's a great player, I think we will play really great together."
Asked if he is open to play for the flag in the 2023 FIBA World Cup co-hosted by the Philippines, Green said it could be a possibility.
However, Green said he is focused on his G League stint and playing for the country is something that "only time will tell."
Green previously played for the US team in the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup in Argentina.
Shaw, meanwhile, looks forward to training the two young players.
"Our job as coach is to try to develop these guys and teach them as best as I can through my experiences," Shaw said. "I'm looking forward to that challenge." —Justin Kenneth Carandang/MGP, GMA News
