Thirdy Ravena channels Sakuragi with fiery red hair
Thirdy Ravena seemingly channeled Sakuragi Hanamichi during his introductory press conference with the San-En Neophoenix on Friday.
The three-time UAAP champion sported a newly cut and fiery red hair, reminiscent of main character from the basketball anime "Slam Dunk."
Asked about the new hairdo, Thirdy said it has to do with his new team, which wears red jerseys in the Japan's Professional Basketball League.

"I'm used to having blue and white colors because of my university but now it's very different," he said.
"I've never worn red in basketball 'til this year. I'm very excited to rock the new color," he added.
Thirdy wore the Ateneo colors from high school to college, but it seems he has adapted quickly to the change.
In his Instagram account, he shared a poster of him wearing the Neophoenix red jersey.
"Starting to dig this whole red look," he said. "What do you guys think?"

He also posted a video clip showing him with his new hair while making a no-look dunk.
