Gabe Norwood's iconic slam over Scola finishes in Top 8 of FIBA's 'Dunk of the Decade'

After more than ten days of voting, the campaign for Gabe Norwood's iconic dunk over Argentina's Luis Scola to be FIBA's "Dunk of the Decade" finished in the Top 8 of the online poll.

The slam garnered only 40 percent of the votes when it went up against Iran's Arsalan Kazemi slam from the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

In the earlier brackets, Norwood's dunk defeated China's Yi Jianlian from the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and Australia's Mitch Creek in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.

Kazemi's jam will go against Brazil's Rafael Mineiro from the 2015 FIBA AmeriCup.

Still in the running for the title are Kristaps Porzingi's dunk in the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket and Carlos Morais from 2013 FIBA AfroBasket. —Justin Kenneth Carandang/MGP, GMA News
