Calvin Abueva reveals requirements before PBA lifts his suspension
It has been more than a year since Calvin Abueva last saw action in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Asked about Abueva’s status in the PBA, league commissioner Willie Marcial in an online forum with the Philippine Sportswriters Association last Tuesday said, “’Pag natapos niya na ginagawa niya, doon ako magdedesisyon.”
Abueva, in an episode of Tiebreaker Vods’ “2OT” on Saturday, discussed the requirements he needed to complete before the PBA decides on lifting his suspension.
The Phoenix Fuelmasters forward said he had also undergone a drug test.
Right now, Abueva is waiting for four more sessions with a psychologist.
“Sayang nga nagkapandemya, di nagtuloy-tuloy ’yung session ko,” the “Beast” said.
Abueva admitted undergoing psychological sessions helped him in dealing with his concerns with his self and family.
Abueva was suspended a year ago due to two incidents: hitting import Terrence Jones and a taunting incident with the girlfriend of TNT KaTropa’s Ray Parks.

Excited for his return, Abueva said he would give more of himself once he steps again on the hardcourt.
Mas doble pa,” he said. – RC, GMA News
