FIBA announces new schedule for 3x3 World Tour, Manila Masters set for August
FIBA has announced a new schedule for the 3x3 World Tour after earlier postponing all its competitions due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Manila Masters is planned for August 15 to 16, while the Chengdu Masters is set for October 17 to 18.
The schedule for Doha, Mexico City, and Utsunomiya will be announced at a later date.
"FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis and evaluate the options for the lifting of the suspension of competitions when the situation allows for it," the press release read.
Meanwhile, FIBA will discuss the rescheduling of the six Olympic Qualifying Tournaments with the International Olympic Committee in light of the one-year delay of the Tokyo Games.
As of Monday, March 30, there are 693,224 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide with 33,106 deaths. --MGP, GMA News
