SBP names Munzon, Pasaol, Perez, Tautuaa to 3x3 Olympic qualifiers squad

Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Moala Tautuaa and CJ Perez will represent the Philippines in the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Bengaluru, India in March.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas assembled two of the best 3x3 players in the country and two young stars of the PBA to secure a slot at the Olympics in Tokyo.

Munzon is the top ranked 3x3 player in the Philippines according to FIBA. Pasaol is also a veteran of the 3x3 circuit.

Perez and Tautaa, meanwhile, teamed up together to win the gold medal at the 3x3 event at the Southeast Asian Games in December.

The 2020 Summer Olympics is the first time 3x3 Basketball will be staged at the Games. —MGP, GMA News
