Kobe Bryant's past visits to the Philippines
Kobe Bryant was beloved by many Filipino fans as one of the greatest to have ever played basketball.
The NBA legend, who died on Monday morning (PHL time) in a helicopter crash, visited the Philippines several times during his career.
His final trip came in June 2016, two months after he scored 60 points in his farewell game.
Filipino fans honored his legacy by hanging a tarpaulin bearing his image in the rafters of the Araneta Coliseum and showering him with lights from their phones.

"Thank you so much. I'm deeply honored by that. I'm speechless about it," Bryant said. "I love you. I will see you soon."
It turned out to be the last time he would ever travel to Manila.
Tributes have poured in from Filipino celebrities and other figures. The PBA also released a statement mourning the five-time NBA champion.
Bryant's 13-year-old daughter Gianna was also among those killed in the accident. They are survived by his wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
