Bryant passed away on Sunday (LA time) along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others when the helicopter they were riding crashed near Los Angeles. He was 41.
The chopper went down around 10 a.m. in Calabasas, about 40 miles northwest of central Los Angeles, Reuters reported.
Bryant was with the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years, 18 of them as an all-star, winning five NBA championships.
US President Donald Trump, former US President Barack Obama and Bryant's former teammates Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Gasol, among others, mourned his passing and posted comments on social media. —KG, GMA News
