Monique del Carmen named UAAP Season 82 women's basketball Finals MVP

Aside from being a champion, Monique del Carmen, who is in her final playing year, capped off her collegiate career with another achievement as she was named Finals MVP during the UAAP women's basketball Finals.

Del Carmen averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in the Finals series.

She was emotional on the court after being named Finals MVP.

"Di ko siya in-expect," Del Carmen said during the post-game conference.

"Tinext ako ni Jack [kanina], sabi niya, 'Good luck to my best PG (point guard)," she shared.

"Kahapon ang pangit pa 'yung training ko pero buti na lang nandyan si Kelly [Hayes] para i-push ako," Del Carmen added. "Pero sabi ko, save the best for last."
