Magnolia takes 2-0 lead over Alaska in PBA Governors' Cup finals
Magnolia survived a defensive struggle against Alaska to fashion out a 77-71 win in Game Two of their 2018 PBA Governors' Cup finals series on Friday at Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Import Romeo Travis carried the load for the Hotshots with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Ian Sangalang was the lone local in double figures for Magnolia with 11 points.
With the result, the Hotshots took a 2-0 series lead and are two wins away from their first PBA title since the departure of former coach Tim Cone, who led the squad to a Grand Slam in 2014.
Reinforcement Mike Harris carried the fight for Alaska with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Vic Manuel chipped in 10 points off the bench. —JST, GMA News
