Bolick drains dagger vs DLSU as San Beda reclaims FilOil crown

Robert Bolick drained a pull up triple in the dying seconds of the finals game against his former school to give San Beda a 75-72 victory to claim the 2017 FilOil Flying V Preseason Cup  collegiate basketball tournament title on Sunday.

Bolick, who once played for La Salle before transferring to his High School San Beda, scored 24 points with eight rebounds and six assists along with the three-pointer to give his team the title.

The clash for the 11th Championship was held at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City.

The two teams have won the final four titles in the preseason tilt. La Salle won in 2014 and 2016, while San Beda last earned the championship in 2015.

Ben Mbala paced La Salle with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Aljun Melecio and Santi Santillan tallied 14 and 12 points, respectively. Ricci Rivero rounded up the scorers in double figures with 11. -TALG/KVD, GMA News
