Middlebrooks: Kobe Paras evaluating new collegiate opportunities

Filipino hoops sensation Kobe Paras may move to another collegiate basketball team after being allowed to leave the Creighton University Bluejays.

Middlebrooks Academy gave the hint in a statement released on Tuesday.

"During the month of May, Kobe will be evaluating new collegiate opportunities," Middlebrooks said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

Paras announced over the weekend on his Twitter account that he is leaving Creighton.

Middlebrooks, where the Filipino cager spent his last year in high school, said Paras had requested and granted release from Creighton University last week.

It said Paras is just completing his last semester in Creighton. He is scheduled to return to Manila this month and join an international event in Toronto, Canada.

"He would like to personally thank his fans, coaches and the community of Creighton and the State of Nebraska at large for all of the love and support given to him," Middlebrooks said. —ALG, GMA News
