Aldrech Ramos sizzles as Mahindra survives San Miguel

Nino Cañaleta hit three straight triples midway through the fourth as the Mahindra Enforcers defeated the San Miguel Beermen, 102-96, on Saturday in Biñan, Laguna.

Aldrech Ramos led the Enforcers off the bench with 26 points and eight boards, while LA Revilla added 19 markers, six boards, and four assists. Cañaleta and Augustus Gilchrist had 15 points each, while Karl Dehesa chipped in 10, including key charities in the end.

The Enforcers held a seven-point lead early in the fourth, 76-69, before San Miguel uncorked a 7-0 run to tie the game. Two charities from Arwind Santos put the Beermen ahead, 86-84, with 4:44 remaining, but Nino Canaleta connected on three straight triples for some space.

Another 7-3 run from SMB cut the lead to just three entering the final two minutes, as Karl Dehesa was whistled for traveling to give the Beermen possession. San Miguel wasn't able to capitalize, though, as Aldrech Ramos and Dehesa canned crucial charities to make it a five-point game with 18 seconds left.

A well-challenged three from Arwind Santos and a split from Dehesa put the game away.

Tyler Wilkerson led SMB with 29 points and 12 rebounds, while Arwind Santos had 17. Marcio Lassiter was the only other San Miguel player in double figures, stringing 14 off the bench. — APG, GMA News
