In a surprise move for San Miguel Beer, June Mar Fajardo saw action in the first half of Game Five of their Philippine Cup finals series against Alaska on Wednesday night at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
The 6-foot-10 center missed the first four games after hurting his knee in Game Six of the semifinals between the Beermen and Rain or Shine.
He joined the warm-ups before the game and played a little more than five minutes in the first half, scoring six points.
Fajardo's ACL was intact based on the MRI results, but he suffered from swelling several days after he got hurt in a rebound play involving Elasto Painter Jireh Ibanes.
He was in attendance last Sunday, wearing street clothes as he received his Best Player of the Conference trophy before Game Four.
San Miguel is down 3-1 in the series. —JST, GMA News
