Gilas Pilipinas grouped with France, New Zealand for Olympic qualifier

Gilas Pilipinas's opponents for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July are set after the draw held Wednesday at the House of Basketball, Switzerland.

The Philippine team has been grouped with France and New Zealand for the tournament that will be held in Manila from July 4 to 10.

Also flying to the country for the tournament are Turkey, Senegal, and Canada, who comprise the other group in the competition.

The winner of the tournament will get a ticket to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Serbia and Italy will also be hosting qualifying tournaments.
