Promising Barako Bull guard RR Garcia suffered an unlucky break on Thursday as he dislocated his right shoulder late in the game against Talk 'N Text.

The former FEU star was having a great game after scoring 22 points, but he hurt his shoulder while defending Jayson Castro in overtime.

Garcia held on to his wrist right after hitting Castro's arm while in shooting motion. He was immediate subbed out and treated in the locker room.

"Ang tagal bumalik e. Kasi nung unang kumalas 'to, bumalik agad. Kanina sobrang tagal. Pinahiga pa ako dun sa dugout," said the pesky guard, who initially injured his shoulder freshly traded from GlobalPort.

"Hindi ko magalaw e. Kahit nga magsuot ng damit sobrang sakit," he added.

Fortunately for Garcia, his efforts would not go down the drain as the Energy escaped with a 105-98 victory in the extra period.

He returned to the bench in the final minutes of the game, but he said he was in no condition to be back on the floor.

"Lumabas ako ulit kasi gusto ko makita kung panalo kami o talo kami. Di ko na rin kaya talaga kahit bumalik ako. Pinanood ko na lang sila," he said.

Barako coach Koy Banal, meanwhile, hopes that the injury will quickly heal so Garcia will be available for their succeeding games.

"He is a vital part in our campaign this conference and I just hope and pray that he will be okay and be ready for next game," he said.

Barako is currently ranked sixth in the standings with a 4-4 win-loss card. —JST, GMA News
