UAAP postpones Sunday games because of Lando
The UAAP has postponed all its games scheduled on Sunday as the country braces for the worst of typhoon Lando.
The league announced the development on Saturday evening.
According to PAGASA, the typhoon is expected to make landfall in Aurora province on Sunday morning. The state weather agency has warned the public of heavy to intense rainfall within the typhoon's 650-km diameter.
Metro Manila is currently under Signal No. 2.
University of the Philippines was scheduled to face University of the East at 2 p.m., while La Salle and Far Eastern university were set to duke it out at 4 p.m. at Mall of Asia Arena.
Events in beach volleyball and table tennis were also postponed. --JST, GMA News
