Willie Miller on PBA return: ‘Parang na-injury ka lang ng one conference’

After being left without a PBA team at the beginning of the season, former Most Valuable Player Willie Miller showed that he still has what it takes to play in the professional league with an impressive showing for Talk 'n Text on Wednesday night.

Miller finished with 10 points and three assists off the bench for the Tropang Texters in 20 minutes of playing time, filling in the hole left by Jimmy Alapag in the back court.

"Parang nainjury ka lang ng one conference e," the guard said on his return. The team gave him a welcome gift as Talk 'n Text won 89-86 over Rain or Shine.

"Buti nga nanalo sa first game, masarap ung pakiramdam," he said. "Hindi pala ako malas masyado."

The 37-year-old player, however, said that he found it difficult to keep up with the fast-pace of the professional league after playing in several tournaments with a relaxed atmosphere.

"Mas matulin ung tibok ng puso ko than usual e," he said. "Ang hirap. Nung practice ko parang pinupunit 'yung lungs ko."
