Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao did not mince words when addressing Calvin's Abueva's flagrant foul penalty two on his guard Jonathan Uyloan in Game Four of their best-of-seven Philippine Cup semifinals series against Alaska.
"We were helped a lot by the stupid move of Abueva," the fiery coach told reporters in the post-game press conference after his team won 98-91 to even the series at 2-2.
The Elasto Painters were leading 92-89 after a Gabe Norwood basket, but Abueva sneaked a punch at Uyloan at the 1:43 mark as the Aces bring the ball up the court.
Rain or Shine completely took control afterwards despite Alaska holding the lead for the first 39 minutes of the game. Guiao, however, said they are not counting on The Beast giving them another boost in a similar fashion.
"We cannot rely on him making some more stupid moves in the future," the coach said. — JST, GMA News
