Playing coach Manny Pacquiao played in his second PBA game for Kia Sorento on Wednesday, starting against Meralco Bolts.
The boxing icon failed to score after attempting two three-pointers. He also grabbed two rebounds, and made an error in his six minutes of play.
He also tried to block Jared Dillinger's shot at the 7:41 mark which resulted in a foul and sent the Meralco captain and Gilas Pilipinasmember on the line.
"Malaki pala 'yung tinapalan ko," Pacquiao told reporters after the game when asked about his thoughts on defending Dillinger.
Pacquiao missed most of the Philippine Cup elimination round due to his preparation for his fight with Chris Algieri. The Filipino ring icon also started in the Sorento's debut game against Blackwater in the season opener at Philippine Arena.
He has yet to score any points in the PBA, but he said he does not mind it at all.
"Okay lang. Ayos lang 'yun. Actually malalayo naman 'yung tira ko kanina," he said.
With the loss, Kia is already out of contention for the quarterfinals, but will still play their remaining game against NLEX. Pacquiao is still not sure whether he will see action in that game. — JST, GMA News
