Throwback Thursday: Here's Tim Cone in his first Grand Slam

San Mig Super Coffee Mixers coach Tim Cone became the first man to complete the PBA Grand Slam twice on Wednesday night after piloting his team to victory in the finals of the Governors' Cup against Rain or Shine.

Almost 18 years ago, Cone accomplished the same feat with the Alaska franchise, with Sean Chambers and Jojo Lastimosa playing the hero's role for his team instead of Marqus Blakely and James Yap.

Cone was flooded with messages of congratulations on Facebook after his win, but one message -- from his daughter Nikki -- stood out.

"You won a GRANDSLAM when I was five, and I had no idea-at the time-what it meant or how hard it really was," she wrote in a caption along with a collage of past and present photos.
