Rain or Shine's Chris Tiu ties the knot in Canada

 

Rain or Shine guard Chris Tiu confirmed that he married long-time girlfriend Clarisse Ong last month.

 

The former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout shared with GMA Network that he and Clarisse tied the knot on September 7 in Vancouver, Canada.

 

Tiu's marriage happened just before the elimination round of the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup ended, missing games against the Meralco Bolts, Barako Bull Energy Cola, and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

 

He came back in time for the team's September 18 game, scoring seven points in RoS' 104-102 win against the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters.

 

Rain or Shine ended the elimination round with a 5-4 win-loss card, good enough for third place and a twice-to-beat advantage against the GlobalPort Batang Pier in the quarterfinals. They are now down 0-2 against the Petron Blaze Boosters in their best-of-five semifinals series. - RAF, GMA News
