The Alaska Aces were percentage points away from playing in the Finals of the 2011 Governors' Cup before things unraveled at an alarming pace, starting with the departure of head coach Tim Cone. After a year of rebuilding though, they made their way back to the top by claiming a title in the 2013 Commissioner's Cup.
