PBA's Ali Peek says docs allowing him to play

Less than a month after surviving a shooting incident, Filipino-American professional basketball player Albert Henry "Ali" Peek said he has been cleared to play. Peek, replying to posts on his Twitter account, said he is "fully recovered" and he "just got clearance from the doctor." "I'm doing great and I just got clearance from the doctor. I'm fully recovered! God is great!" he said. Peek plays forward-center for the Talk'N'Text team in the Philippine Basketball Association. But his coach Vincent "Chot" Reyes said only Peek can say when he is indeed ready to play. "To those asking: Getting cleared doesn't mean he will [play]. Only @mtnpeek can say when he's ready," he said. An unidentified assailant shot Peek outside a gymnasium in Mandaluyong City last November 7. Police have yet to disclose the identity of the suspect or the motive behind the shooting. — LBG, GMA News
