Kim Sae Ron's family releases alleged messages between late actress, Kim Soo Hyun

Kim Sae Ron's family, through a legal representative, released alleged messages between the late actress and Kim Soo Hyun.

According to the representative attorney's official statement translated by Soompi, the family is experiencing severe anxiety and was unable to attend the press conference, which aimed to highlight the family's suffering and request an end to the attacks against them.

Per lawyer Bu Ji Seok, the family initially revealed Kim Sae Ron's past relationship with Kim Soo Hyun as part of a lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who allegedly spread false information and mocked her.

"However, what the family received in return was Kim Soo Hyun lying that he had never been in a relationship with her."

They also claimed that Lee Jin Ho and others were exposing Kim Sae Ron's private life and spreading false information.

"In response, the bereaved family wishes to put an end to the controversy by presenting evidence. To be clear, this is not a place to reveal the reasons behind the late Kim Sae Ron's decision to end her own life. The family would like to express that after today's press conference, they do not wish to engage in any further meaningless disputes over the truth."

Among the presented messages were those sent via KakaoTalk, which were allegedly made by Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun from June 24 to June 26, 2016.

A conversation from June 24 shows Kim Sae Ron updating Kim Soo Hyun that she got an IV drip at the hospital, which made the latter concerned.

Another conversation recorded June 25 shows Kim Sae Ron updating Kim Soo Hyun that she's filming, with the actor playfully asking for a kiss and Kim Sae Ron teasingly agreeing.

On June 26, Kim Sae Ron asked if he missed her, and they engaged in a playful back-and-forth before Kim Soo Hyun admitted he did.

In the following chat, they continued their flirtatious exchange, discussing when they can sleep while holding each other, playfully negotiating the timeline.

The legal representative also presented a screenshot of a conversation between Kim Sae Ron and a friend on April 9, 2024, where they talked about her past relationship.

Kim Sae Ron expressed her heartbreak, while her friend offered support, calling Kim Soo Hyun a "crazy bastard."

A letter was also revealed, allegedly written by Kim Sae Ron for Kim Soo Hyun, hoping to clear up misunderstandings between them.

She apologized for posting a certain photo, explaining that she did it in hopes of contacting the company but now feels fearful of a lawsuit. She expressed discomfort with the actor's agency Gold Medalist and frustration that no one responds to her.

She also reflected on their five to six year relationship, calling him her first and last love, and pleads for him not to avoid her, as it makes their past feel meaningless.

She hoped they can at least remain on good terms and asks if he truly hated her. She also promised not to interfere in his life but expressed sadness if this is truly the end.

She then left her phone number, hoping he would respond, and wished him happiness in his career and love life, hoping their past would not be remembered negatively.

Kim Sae Ron died by suicide in February. She was 24.

Kim Sae Ron was known for her roles in the films "A Brand New Life," and "The Man From Nowhere." She also appeared in the series "Hi! School Love On," "Can You Hear my Heart," and "The Queen's Classroom," among others.
