In wake of Barbie Hsu's passing, 'Meteor Garden' co-star Ken Chu pays tribute to actress on Instagram

Ken Chu paid tribute to his "Meteor Garden" co-star, Barbie Hsu, on Instagram following the actress's untimely passing.
On Instagram Stories, Monday, the Taiwanese singer and actor posted a solid black photo.
He also reposted a throwback photo of the cast of "Meteor Garden," which included himself, Barbie, Vic Chou, Jerry Yan, and Vanness Wu.
The group starred together in "Meteor Garden," which debuted in 2001. The wildly popular Taiwanese series follows the story of a poor girl, Shan Cai (Barbie), and her encounters with four wealthy boys, Dao Ming Si (Jerry), Xi Men (Ken), Mei Zuo (Vanness), Hua Ze Lei (Vic), at school.
Ken was also a member of the Taiwanese boy band F4, which he, Vic, Jerry, and Vanness formed following the success of "Meteor Garden."
Barbie passed away at the age of 48 due to pneumonia. The news was confirmed by her family and her agent through South China Morning Post and Focus Taiwan, Monday.
She is survived by her husband, South Korean musician DJ Koo, and her two children from her previous marriage with Wang Xiao Fei, whom she divorced in 2021.
