Blackpink's Jisoo signs with Warner Records

Jisoo of Blackpink is ready to embark on a new chapter in her career as she signed with American music label, Warner Records.

The label annouced their new member on Instagram.

“We are so excited to welcome Korean superstar singer, actress and member of history-making group BLACKPINK, JISOO to the Warner Records family!”

According to Soompi, Jisoo signed “an all-encompassing global solo deal with the label.”

In a statement, Jisoo said this is just the beginning of a new journey.

“I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey. I feel like I’m just getting started and I’d like to thank the BLINKs for all of their love and support,” she said.

Aaron Bay-Schuck, co-chairman and CEO of Warner Records, added that the team is thrilled to work with Jisoo “as she continues to make history and inspire millions around the world.”

“There is no question that Jisoo is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we have no doubt that her solo career will be even more impactful. The energy, passion, and artistry Jisoo brings to her music is on another level,” he said.

Jisoo debuted as a solo artist in 2023 with the song, “Flower,” along with an accompanying music video.

She launched her agency Blissoo in 2024. This came after Blackpink declined to renew their contracts for individual activities with YG Entertainment.

Jisoo teased that her solo album, “Amortage,” is coming out on February 14.

The Blackpink member is also starring in the zombie apocalypse series, “Newtopia,” which premieres on Prime Video Philippines on February 7.
