Doja Cat launches fund-raising project for LA wildfire victims
Doja Cat has initiated a fund-raising project for the benefit of the victims of the wildfires raging in Los Angeles, California.
On Instagram, the American rapper announced that she teamed up with fashion illustrator Pini to design a small collection of hoodies and shirts for sale.
Doja Cat said 100% of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to support California residents affected by the wildfires.
The items are available at online platform Everpress.
"American Red Cross workers are helping residents fleeing from these massive and fast-moving wildfires which have destroyed homes of all kinds. They’re focused on making sure everyone has a safe place to stay and no one faces this heartbreaking crisis alone," read the Everpress page for the products.
"This collection is raising crucial funds at this urgent time. Your donation enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these disasters."
The fund-raising initiative is from January 9 to January 30.
Previously, Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis pledged $1 million for wildfire relief. Paris Hilton also raised $800,000 for those affected by the disaster.
At least 24 people have died in the LA wildfires. Over 150 Filipinos have also sought assistance after losing their homes.
