Gong Yoo, Song Hye Kyo to star in new drama together

Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo are set to star together in an upcoming series!

According to a report on Soompi, the two Hallyu powerhouses have began filming their new drama with the literal title of "Slowly But Intensely."

The series is set in the 1960s and 1970s and follows people in the broadcasting industry. The drama will focus on the stars on stage, and the people behind the scenes who make them who they are.

In preparation for her role, Song Hye Kyo cut her hair short.

The series is directed by Lee Yoon Jung, who worked with Gong Yoo on "Coffee Prince." It is written by Noh Hee Kyung, who worked with Song Hye Kyo on "Worlds Within" and "That Winter, The Wind Blows."

It is in talks to be released as a 22-episode series on Netflix.

Gong Yoo is best known for the series "Goblin" and "Squid Game." He is also famous for the films "Train to Busan," "Silenced," and "The Age of Shadows."

Meanwhile, among Song Hye Kyo's most popular projects include "Descendants of the Sun," "The Glory," and "Full House."
