'Unmasked' star Kim Hye Soo reveals she once aspired to become a journalist

Kim Hye Soo, the star of the upcoming K-drama series "Unmasked," said that she once aspired to become a journalist when she was young.

Together with her co-star Jung Song Il and director You Sun Dong, Kim Hye Soo sat down with GMA Integrated News broadcast journalist Lyn Ching and talked about the dreams of her younger self.

According to Hye Soo, it was in high school when she got interested in being a reporter.

But after hearing that it was the "toughest" department in journalism, her plans changed and decided to pursue acting as she was already into the craft at that time.

Incidentally, Hye Soo plays one of the investigative journalists in "Unmasked."

"It was a great joy that I had the chance to indirectly experience being a reporter indirectly through acting," she said.

"Unmasked" follows the Trigger investigative news team who tries to solve a 20-year-old old case involving a famous actor who went missing.

The investigative thriller will stream starting January 15 on Disney Plus.
