Mandy Moore ‘in shock’ after California wildfires experience
Mandy Moore took to Instagram to express her grief following the California wildfires.
The singer and actress and her family were among the celebrities forced to evacuate their homes due to the wildfires.
Posting videos of her neighborhood engulfed in smoke, with small fires burning on the street, Mandy sais she was "in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family."
"My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken," she continued as she expressed resolve that they will rebuild together.
“I love you, Altadena,” Mandy said, adding how thankful she is that her family and pets were able to get out "last night before it was too late."
The singer also made sure to thank "friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets."
In her Instagram Stories, Mandy also said how she was "trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel."
"Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss," she said, adding she didn't know "if our place made it."
In another Instagram Stories post, Mandy said "I am devastated and gutted for those of us who've lost so much. I'm absolutely numb."
Due to the strong winds and fires in California, several movie and TV stars had been forced to evacuate their homes, including Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hammill, Eugene Levy, and James Woods.
The fires, along with the rush to evacuate and narrow streets, have produced long delays and traffic jams.
