Paris Hilton 'heartbroken beyond words' after losing home to California wildfires

Paris Hilton is “heartbroken beyond words” after losing her family home to the California wildfires.

On her social media pages, the actress and socialite shared a news report about Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood between Santa Monica and Malibu in California. The report showed a burned-out house, which left only some infrastructure and ashes.

“Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Paris wrote in her caption.

She mourned the house where they built family memories, but said that despite the overwhelming loss, "I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe."

Her heart and prayers go out to the families affected by the wildfires, she added.

“My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses,” Paris said. “The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”

Paris said her lifestyle and media company, 11:11, is now reaching out to nonprofit organizations to support those affected by the fires.

“We’re committed to offering help as soon as possible and making a meaningful difference for those who need it most,” she said.

“To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us—you are true heroes. I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she added.

Due to the strong winds and fires in Pacific Palisades, several movie and TV stars had been forced to evacuate their homes. These include Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hammill, Mandy Moore, Eugene Levy, and James Woods.

The fires, along with the rush to evacuate, have produced long delays and traffic jams.
