Demi Moore on Golden Globes win: ‘The little girl in me is saying f— yeah!’
Demi Moore is still on cloud nine after winning her first-ever acting award at the Golden Globes.
On Instagram, Demi shared some clips and photos of her taken at the award ceremony on Monday (Philippine time) where she won Best Female Actor – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for her work in "The Substance."
“Woke up this morning still in shock but full of so much joy, love, and gratitude for this honor and recognition," she wrote.
"I am so deeply humbled and the little girl in me is saying f— yeah!” she added, thanking her followers "for your support and kind words" as well as the award-giving body.
In her acceptance speech, Demi spoke about how she was once called as a “popcorn actress."
"At that time, I made that to mean that [winning an award] was something that I wasn't allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful and made a lot of money but that I couldn't be acknowledged," Demi said.
She shared how she bought into the idea, and how it "corroded me over time."Meanwhile, celebrities in the comment section like Paris Hilton and Lily Collins sent in their congratulations to the 62-year-old actress.
“Congratulations Demi! Your speech was so beautiful” Paris wrote.
“So so so so happy for you!!!!” Lily said.
Aside from Demi, Sebastian Stan, Zoe Saldana and Kieran Culkin also received acting honors.
