Demi Moore has won her first-ever acting award at the Golden Globes, where she picked up the the trophy for Best Female Actor – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for her work in "The Substance."

In her acceptance speech, the 62-year-old actress said, "I’ve been doing this for over 45 years and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor.”

She also related how 30 years ago, a producer told her that she was a 'popcorn actress'. "At that time, I made that to mean that [winning an award] was something that I wasn't allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful and made a lot of money but that I couldn't be acknowledged," Demi said.

"I bought in[to that] and I believed that, and that corroded me over time," she added.

Demi shared how a few years ago, she started contemplating that maybe her acting career was over. "Maybe I've done what I'm supposed to do. And as I was in that a low point, I had this magical, bold, out-of-the-box absolutely bonkers script called 'The Substance' come across my desk, and the universe told me, you're not done," she said.

"Today I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me, and for the gift of doing something I love, and being reminded that I do belong," she said.

Demi looked incredible in a custom Giorgio Armani serpentine gown. She wore her gorgeous black hair down with her face framed by beautiful Cartier dangling earrings.

Demi quickly trended on X following her historic win.

Earlier Zoe Saldana and Kieren Culkin also took home acting honors for their work in "Emilia Perez" and "A Real Pain" respectively.

Kicking off Hollywood's awards season, the Globes features quite the stellar guest list including newly engaged couple Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez, who is a two-time nominee this year.
