Park Sung Hoon apologizes for sharing explicit parody of 'Squid Game' following backlash
Park Sung Hoon, who has been making waves for playing a trans woman on "Squid Game" Season 2, is facing backlash for briefly sharing an explicit parody of the hit show.
The South Korean actor uploaded a photo of adult actresses wearing the show's costumes, before immediately deleting it.
A screenshot, however, continues to make the rounds online. Sung Hoon is criticized for making the post as the country holds a mourning period following the Jeju Air crash that killed 179 people.
Sung Hoon's agency, BH Entertainment, told media outlets that the post was shared "accidentally" after he received it in a direct message.
The actor is also "deeply sorry" for the mistake given the circumstances in his country, and will be more careful going forward.
Netflix released "Squid Game" Season 2 on its platforms on December 26. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
