‘Superman’ releases long-awaited teaser
It's here! One of the most hotly anticipated movies of 2025 has released its first teaser trailer.
‘Superman,’ directed by ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn as the first movie in the new DC Universe, has released a teaser trailer that shows the Man of Steel in some trouble, but soon receiving a helping paw.
In the teaser, Superman (David Corenswet, "Pearl") is seen crash-landing into the snow, injured. He whistles—and in the distance a figure beloved by fans of the comics and cartoons appears: Krypto, also known as Superdog!
Other beloved characters from Superman lore can be seen in the video, including Daily Planet star reporter Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") and the villainous Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult).
The film is produced by DC Studio heads Gunn and Peter Safran from Gunn's script. The DC Universe or DCU replaces the DC Extended Universe, the films of which received mixed reviews and box office results compared to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“Superman” will be in theaters and IMAX nationwide in the Philippines on July 9, 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. — BM, GMA Integrated News
