Taylor Swift gave 'Eras Tour' staff, crew $197 million in bonuses – report
As Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” came to an end, the “All Too Well” singer made sure that everyone who worked with her was generously rewarded.
According to a report by People, Taylor has given out a whopping $197 million-worth of bonuses (around P11.4 billion) to all the people who worked with her on tour over the last two years.
These included truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists, and video team.
The pop star concluded her record-breaking tour with a show-stopping final show in Vancouver, Canada on December 8.
“The Eras Tour” kicked off in Arizona, United States on March 17, 2023 and spanned 149 cities in the world including Singapore and Japan — the only two Asian stops.
The New York Times also reported that more than 10 million people attended the Eras Tour. It has generated over $2 billion in ticket sales, making it the bestselling tour of all time and “double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history.”
In October, Taylor was named the world's richest female musician by Forbes, crediting the huge success of her “Eras Tour” to her skyrocketing net worth.
In April, she was officially declared a billionaire by Forbes. In the same month, she released her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
