Adele pens heartfelt letter to Celine Dion after appearance in Vegas show: 'A full circle moment for me'
Adele penned a heartfelt letter to Celine Dion after the latter attended her concert at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Saturday evening, an encounter that turned emotional for both singers.
Over the weekend, clips of Adele and Celine's sweet encounter made the rounds on social media. In the video, Adele can be seen visibly moved during her concert as she approached Celine, who sat in front of the theater.
The two women shed tears as they gave each other a tight hug.
On Instagram, the English singer wrote that she has been performing at The Colosseum for the past almost two years for her "Weekends with Adele" Las Vegas residency.
Per Adele, it was the only venue she wanted to perform in in Vegas because it was built especially for Celine's residency.
"I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!!" she wrote.
She also gushed about her love for Celine, tagging the iconic singer.
"[Celine Dion], I love you so very very much. Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family."
Adele added that she loved performing at The Colosseum and considered it an honor.
"Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever. Such a full circle moment for me to be there with you. Thank you so much," she said.
Adele kicked off her "Weekends with Adele" Las Vegas residency in November 2022 and is set to hold her last concert in the grand theater on November 23.
Celine held her first residency, "A New Day," at The Colosseum in March 2003. It was constructed specifically so she could perform there.
After 16 years, Celine ended her residency at The Colosseum in 2019 after playing 1,141 shows to more than 4.5 million fans.
