Jennifer Aniston remembers Matthew Perry with sweet throwback pictures on 1st death anniversary

Jennifer Aniston gave a sweet tribute to her “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry on his first death anniversary.

Posting a wacky photo with Matthew, a screne where he kisses her forehead, and a shot of the "friends" cast in a group huddle, Jennifer wrote "1 year" in the caption of her Instagram post and tagged the  Matthew Perry Foundation which helps those struggling with addiction.

In its official Instagram account, "Friends" also paid tribute to Matthew, posting his photo and asking fans to share their favorite Chandler Bing moments on the show. "On the one year anniversary of his passing, we honor Matthew Perry whose legacy lives on through the work of the Matthew Perry Foundation. Visit the link in our bio donate," it said.

Meanwhile, Hank Azaria, who played one of Phoebe’s boyfriends David on “Friends,” also paid tribute to the late actor on social media, saying he misses him every day.

“One year without Matthew," he began. "The world isn’t the same without you, brother!”

Posting a few photos with Matthew, Hank shared the late actor "helped me get sober and made me laugh harder than anyone else. I miss him every day."

In October 2023, Matthew died of drowning at 54 years old.

A week after his death, the cast of "Friends"—Jennifer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David, and Matt LeBlanc—issued a joint statement on his passing, saying they were left "utterly devastated." Several celebrities also mourned his death.

A December 2023 autopsy report showed Matthew died from "acute effects" of ketamine and other factors that caused him to lose consciousness and drown in his hot tub.

Five individuals were charged over Matthew's death including two medical doctors, his live-in assistant, a broker and a North Hollywood drug dealer known as "the Ketamine Queen," who has previously been linked to the overdose death of another man.

Early this month, one of two California doctors pleaded guilty to illegally distributing the drug ketamine.
