NCT member Taeil's contract has been terminated, SM Entertainment announces

The exclusive contract of NCT member Taeil has been terminated, SM Entertainment announced in a statement Wednesday.

Translated on Google, the South Korean music label said, "Taeil is under investigation by the prosecution for a criminal case, which is grounds of his exclusive contract." 

It added, "Taeil could no longer be trusted as an artist." 

SM Entertainment ended its statement apologizing "for any inconvenience caused by our artist Taeil."

In August, the label announced Taeil has left the group following sexual offense allegations.
