Jeremy Allen White was named Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series this year’s Emmy Awards for his role as Carmy in the hit TV series “The Bear.”
The Television Academy shared Jeremy’s acceptance speech on Instagram during the awards night.
“Thank you so much,” he said while holding his trophy. “I’m so honored to be in your company.”
“My beautiful cast, I love you forever,” he added. “I love to work with you and I want us to be in each other’s lives forever.”
Jeremy also said that “The Bear” has changed his life.
“It has instilled a faith that change is possible if you are able to reach out, you’re never truly actually alone,” he said.
Jeremy ended his speech by thanking the show and its entire team, as well as his family.
Meanwhile, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jeremy’s co-star in “The Bear,” took home the Outstanding Supporter Actor in a Comedy Series award for his performance as Richie.
“I’m so grateful for this show and to work with these beautiful people,” Ebon said in his speech.
“The Bear” follows the story of a fine dining chef who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after his brother died.
The Emmy Awards 2024 was held Sunday evening at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
The annual Primetime Emmy Awards is known as the highest honors in television, with winners chosen by almost 22,000 directors producers, performers, and other key constituents of the Television Academy.
The Emmy Awards 2023 was held just in January this year when strikes held by Hollywood writers and actors delayed last year's awarding ceremony.
