Chappell Roan goes viral after confronting photographer at VMAs red carpet

Chappell Roan made rounds on social media after she was filmed confronting a photographer at the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards 2024.

In a clip posted by the Associated Press, the singer could be seen posing for the media before one of the photographers began to scream expletives.

Chappell was quick to confront the photographer and stood her ground.

“Don’t, not me,” she said.

Netizens praised Roan in the comments.

“Love her for this [because] people forget that celebrities are people too who have voices,” said a netizen.

“Absolutely valid, I love that she did this. That crowd of photographers was extremely rude, I love that she defended whoever got told to shut up. I heard the one guy said 'she’s not looking the right way,' totally uncalled for and I can see why she feels like she’s being treated like a subhuman now that she’s famous,” added another netizen.

Roan went on to win “Best New Artist” at the VMAs and performed one of her hit songs “Good Luck, Babe!” in a medieval set.

Chappell Roan is a rising popstar well-known for some of her recent hits like “Red Wine Supernova” and “HOT-TO-GO!” from her album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.”
