Manny Jacinto, star of 'The Acolyte,' nominated for People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 

Manny Jacinto, who is best known for his role in “The Acolyte” series, is running for this year’s People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive!

The Filipino-Canadian actor is nominated under the sexiest heartthrob category alongside Hollywood stars Jacob Elordi, Nicholas Galitzine and Gavin Casalegno.

Other celebrities who made it to the nominees list include Harry Styles for the sexiest musician category, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Glen Powell for the sexiest summer action star and Justin Bieber for sexiest new dad. 

The Readers’ Choice Poll will end on September 20, and the winner will be announced on November 12.

Last year, American actor Patrick Dempsey won the People’s magazine “Sexiest Man Alive” title.

Manny rose to popularity after playing the villain role of Qimir in “Star Wars: The Acolyte.” He is also known for his role as Jason Mendoza on "The Good Place" and for voicing Maliksi in the English language voice cast of Netflix's "Trese," among others.

He is set to play the husband of Lindsay Lohan’s character Anna in the sequel of “Freaky Friday” titled “Freakier Friday.”
