Blackpink's Jennie inks solo deal with Columbia Records, to drop new single in October

There's new music to look forward to from South Korean idol Jennie!

Jennie of Blackpink has recently signed with Columbia Records as a solo artist in collaboration with her record label and entertainment company, Odd Atelier.

Jennie is set to unveil her new solo single in October through this new partnership.

In 2019, she made her solo debut with the song "Solo." Her most recent single, "You & Me," was released in October 2023. Two months later, she launched her own label, Odd Atelier.

In June this year, Jennie made record history when she collaborated with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on the hit "One of the Girls," which has been streamed over one billion times on Spotify as of writing.

Jennie was the first Blackpink member to establish a solo label after the K-pop girl group renewed its contract with YG Entertainment in December 2023.

Jennie, together with fellow Blackpink members Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, debuted in 2016 with "Boombayah" and "Whistle."
