Blackpink's Jennie to pursue legal action vs. false impersonations of father

Jennie of Blackpink is pursuing legal action against illegal publications with false information impersonating her father.

According to a report by Soompi, Jennie’s agency OA Entertainment released a statement Friday, revealing there were “continuous fake news and illegal publications” that have been released impersonating Jennie’s father.

“We would like to firmly inform you that these claims are entirely false and have no connection to the artist [Jennie]… We are taking legal action against those responsible for spreading these falsehoods,” the statement read.

OA Entertainment will be filing criminal charges for defamation and obstruction of business against said impersonators.

Meanwhile, the agency shared they will also pursue legal action against defamation, sexual harassment, and slander against Jennie.

“Such actions are clear crimes, and we will continue to take strong legal measures without leniency based on the collected evidence. We will remain committed to protecting the rights and interests of our artist,” the statement continued.
