NCT's Taeil leaves group after being accused of sexual offense
NCT member Taeil has left the South Korean group following sexual offense allegations.
The news was announced on Wednesday by SM Entertainment.
"We have recently confirmed that Taeil has been indicted in a criminal case related to a sexual crime," the company said, as translated by Starnews Korea.
"While investigating the facts regarding this matter, we realized that the matter was very serious and decided that he could no longer continue team activities. After discussing it with Taeil, we decided to have him leave the team."
SM Entertainment said that Taeil is cooperating with the police investigation and that they will release a new statement depending on the progress of the investigation.
The company also apologized for the "concern and distress caused by our artist."
NCT's group members include Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Chenle, and Jisung.
